Choosing your diamond shape
Oval, emerald, pear or round — what each cut says, and how it looks on the hand.
Shape is the first decision and the most personal one. The round brilliant returns the most light; the oval looks larger per carat and lengthens the finger; the emerald cut shows a calm hall-of-mirrors effect instead of sparkle.
