Why Antwerp and Dubai belong together
Two cities, one diamond route — and why two Antwerpenaars chose to build a house between them.

Antwerp has been a diamond city for more than five centuries. Around its Central Station, a few streets became the place where much of the world’s rough and polished diamonds were traded, graded and cut — and where the city’s families learned to judge a stone by eye long before anyone spoke of light-performance scores.
A route, not a rivalry
Over the last two decades Dubai grew into one of the largest diamond and gold trading centres in the world. Many Antwerp traders opened offices there, and the two cities became linked by a constant flow of stones, people and know-how. Antwerp brought centuries of grading discipline; Dubai brought goldsmithing tradition, the Gold Souk, and a gateway to the whole world.
Our own roots
We are Belgians from Antwerp. We grew up with the city’s diamond streets as part of everyday life, and that closeness to our roots is what led us into the trade. Safa Diamonds is our way of joining the two places we love: the eye of Antwerp and the hands of Dubai.
What it means for you
Every stone is selected to Antwerp standards and certified by IGI or GIA. Your piece is then crafted and dispatched from Dubai with insured delivery worldwide — without the layers of showroom mark-up that traditional retail adds.
